Ingredients
- 2 sticks of sweet butter
- 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs,lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups sifted unbleached all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups quick cooking oats
- 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

- Medium bowl

Directions
- Cream butter and both sugars in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, milk and vanilla and beat until blended.
- Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together and add to the butter mixture. Stir just enough to blend.
- Stir in oats.
- Fold in chocolate and walnuts.
- preheat oven to 350. Grease cookie sheets ( or use parchment ).
- Shape dough into balls ( spoon sized ) place on cookie sheet.
- Bake until edges are slightly browned 8-10 minutes.
- left over dough may be refrigerated ( cover with plastic wrap so it doesn't dry out)
- Remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes.
Notes
- Easy to pop a few in the oven after making the dough
- Better if golden brown around the edges
