Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 16 oz cans Black Beans
  • 1 28 oz can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 28 oz can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 pack of ground meat {beef, bison, turkey}
  • 1 large red pepper (diced)
  • 1 large sweet onion (diced)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • olive oil

Equipment

  • 1 large pot
  • 1 mixing spoon
  • 1 set of measuring spoons
  • 1 knife
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 can opener
  • 1 hand mitt (use when stirring chili)

Directions

  1. Place pot on stove
  2. Add some olive oil to the bottom of the pot
  3. Set heat to medium
  4. Dump meat into the pot
  5. Dump died onion into the pot
  6. Cook meat in pot until fully cooked
  7. Dump beans, tomatoes, and pepper, into the pot
  8. Stir well, make sure everything gets stirred together
  9. Wait until the mix is bubbling
  10. Dump cumin, chili powder, cyan pepper and salt into the pot
  11. Stir in spices thoroughly
  12. Cook for 2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes (make sure nothing is sticking to the bottom of the pot)
  13. Set heat on high to boil off excess water until chili reaches desired thickness
